I don't know if this is true, but in my experience it seems to be. The best US made cheeses I've had in my life came from those three states. And with the exception of Holland Family in WI they were all hellaciously expensive compared to the cheeses one finds in an American supermarket.

World class cheese is definitely made in the US, but you have to go out of your way to find it, and when you do you're gonna pay a serious luxury price for it. Because making cheese in a more traditional manner is far more expensive than churning out industrial crap, and the market for it is very small, since most folks balk at the price it entails.

Easy. I drink what I want, based on my mood. This means I can enjoy a wide variety of beverages.

You drink what won't get you branded a traitor to america (imported anything especially beer), a communist subversive (vodka), a homosexual (gin), or a woman (wine). This limits you to beer (which you call "craft beer" because you are insecure), and brown liquor made from grains, out of a sports university shot glass (requirement: screaming after you shoot it, and chasing it with an entire can of light beer).

Two kinds of alcoholic beverage. Pathetic.

Just checked my stone's case. 1000 grit made in U.S.A., 4000 grit made in Italy, assembled in U.S.A. Now will you tell me what's your problem or are you just trollan'?

If you haven't bought the cheese for anything special, may as well use it in a slap-dash recipe.

This is true. If you're going to get really serious about it you'll never even wrap cheese in plastic because the stuff is alive and ought to be able to breathe.

When I go to the really high end cheese market where the woman behind the counter personally knows the people who made every cheese she sells (for $15 - $25/lb, mind you) the cheese only comes wrapped in wax paper.

I don't enjoy cheese curds, they're bland and chewy. I don't even really like them with my poutine.

I'm American, but the worst cheese I've ever had was American...processed crap. I hate it, no flavor.

It's the only cheese I think I hate. I even enjoy cheese whiz if used properly. Whatever that means.

Excellent. I like to enjoy it with a crisp apple.

Personally prefer caerphilly in that cheese category though
