Jolibee would be great if it had better quality. Americans go there once to try out Filipino food for the first time and leave severely disappointed. Then they become more racist toward Filipinos and have a more biased view on Filipino culture.

"I don't like Filipino food. I tried Jollibee when it first opened and it wasn't that great."

That picture looks okay. But not sure how people think it's traditional flip food.

People do that sort of thing for ANY culture:

"I went to McDonalds and it was bad. Therefore all American food is bad"

"I ate at this tourist-trap restaurant in Germany, therefore all German food is bad..."

etc..

Nothing. It's not even a cuisine, it's just poor imitations of azn foods mixed with horrible crap from American post war factories.

pancit is garbage plate fried noodles, lumpia are fried eggrolls, adobo is just a pepperpot stew, everything else is dried fish or chicken soup with tropical fruit in it, about the only food I think i'd want to eat from a Filipino that's different from anywhere else is sinigang

they eat spaghetti with ketchup, extra sugar and hot dogs as a normal thing, it's terrible

>ok the bbq's not bad

tocino is fucking delicious. especially with pork skins/tails

i've never make it without those sauce packets though

Yes people do that, it's kinda an human defense mechanism to easily rationalize why something is bad.
This is not only done on food, but groups, things like toys and tools and their respective companies.
It's why hitler got away with yelling that the joos did everything bad and why people think everything genetically modified is super dangerous. All because their stupid little heads need to blame something bad on something and it's all natural.

It shouldn't require much. When I went to the Philippines, it reminded me of Midwest cooking. The only difference was having rice instead of potatoes. Then there was a little more seafood in some spots I went to.

>> No.6167271

Serve them orange chicken labelled as "Filipino chicken" that has raw orange slices on the plate and the "sauce" of the teenage puerto rican kid I somehow roped into working for near free to pay off his dad's tab.

make it commercially available at a fair price so people can actually buy it. I have to drive 40 minutes to get passable Filipino food or any Filipino food and i live that far from new york city... jersey city has some good spots especially for pork but that is it.

Ube ice cream is so fucking good. There's an ice cream parlor near me owned by an old japanese guy that always has it. It's crazy popular too.
