I really wish pastries in America would make more cheesed based stuff, a lot of the things I see that have sugar and jam and stuff, just make me think I wish they had just made it cheesy, really don't know why it's so uncommon.

And when they do its usually some really lazy attempt with just a little bit of cheddar and jalapeno, no different cheeses or more elaborate cheesiness.

For example think about how at a seafood chain like red lobster, the cheddar bay biscuits there are legendary, whenever you mention red lobster most people would fondly first bring up the biscuits (im not sure how they make them nowadays but you get my point)
