Oh god. God.

That was such a serious flashback moment that triggered. I distinctly remember being in Childers Market in Rutherford College, NC with my mom. This had to be when I was, like, kindergarten age so 85 or 86. It was my first time in that market, a little family owned place with fresh produce out front and a butcher counter in back. Super cramped little place, and just jam packed with all kinds of weird stuff that I'd never seen before when I went shopping at Food Lion with my mom before.

I distinctly remember seeing that weird black box and picking it up and falling I love with the comic stuff on the back. I begged and pleaded to get s box from my mom until she finally relented to shut me up after I said I make it last all week.

I actually did budget it pretty well over a week and I remember getting a new box every week nearly until I was in middle school and we moved away.

Anybody else remember those McDonald's sub sandwiches that were on the go for like a year or two?

This was around 2005-2006. Probably the summer of 2006 would have been their heyday.

I'm not sure if these were ever available in the U.S. They came to Canada first because we were the test market. The flavors were things like:

> Beef and Provolone.

> Blue cheese chicken.

> New york Reuben.

etc...

Man I wish they still had those. Easily among my favorite McDonald's items ever. Unfortunately there's very little information on them online... I think a lot of people forgot about them because they were offered so briefly and weren't super popular.

Pic related. It's one of the few images I could find.
