That's all we ask for. Imagine you order a nice shiny Audi, but they deliver you a 8yr old Kia with shopping cart dings all over it. Try the same shit on eBay, and it's considered outright fraud i.e. theft by deception. Catalogs? Same thing, its an error. It's funny when infomercials exaggerate the retardation, but with food, it's just a sad way for the vendor to admit jokingly that their food is shit. I find that more depressing than funny, kinda like when you get the bag of weed home only to realize the weed has been soaked in water and there's 3 BBs painted brown rolling around in the bottom to add weight. Much less patronizing to just say hey, the bags a little light.

This mufucker right here. I ordered some the other day. Never had it before. It was 2 for $5 so I got two. The ad gave me the impression that it was legit. I knew it wouldn't look like the ad, but it turned out to be a joke. I made it through 2 bites of one then the it and the second one in the trash. Skimpy is one thing, but the bread is huge. It soaked up all my saliva, gave me instant hiccups on first swallow, and then I almost choked on it trying to swallow it.

This is pretty close to my experience. They used to run commercials making fun of all the other fast food places for using heat lamps. It seems Wendy's in fact does not use heat lamps. They just let the shit sit on a cold counter for half an hour instead. Burgers are always cold. Bring back the heat lamps, please!

Wendy's doesn't use heat lamps for the burgers. They're made to the order (the beef was cooked in advance and kept warm on the grill, but now it's cooked in a clamshell grill and kept warm in a steamer like at McDonald's).

The fried food, however, is kept under a heat lamp.

I got someone else's food by mistake last week. It appears to be "crunchy taco with no lettuce/tomato". This is what it looked like inside. That is the amount of meat/cheese that was in it. A pinch of lettuce and a pinch of tomato would not be much more than was in that pic.

Maybe the shells are just too big for the topping portions, but that's what they look like when I get them.

This is well put. Think about it. The video posted earlier where they take "actual McDonalds ingredients" into a studio and spend all day arranging it, spraying it with spray and lacquer, carefully teasing the cheese to make it melt just right, etc. etc. etc.

Why wouldn't they just go to any one of their stores, order the same food which is served to the public, and take a picture of that?

Because they know there isn't even a remote chance that the actual food they sell will look even remotely like the "artist's rendition".

Of course they would have to charge $2,500 for a Big Mac to be able to deliver what they advertise, which no one would pay, BUT, every other industry shows you an actual picture of the product you are purchasing and can expect to receive. Stop making your food look pathetic and you won't have to falsify your advertising pics.

Frisch's ~= Bob's Big Boy. These guys invented the club-style triple-decker hamburger with "special sauce". Bob's used tartar sauce in the early 40's or 50's when it came out, McD's made their own version and added sesame seeds and used a different special sauce. They're both pretty good, I like them. I've only been to the Frisch's version, but their food looks almost identical to what is in the ads.
