I wanted to make Jalapeno Poppers so I went to Tesco today to get some Jalapenos but all I could find were regular green chilies (http://www.tesco.com/groceries/product/details/?id=253553948).). Are these going to work well?

Jalapenos have a very distinct taste and are much fatter (have more room inside) so they'll be a bit different and less cheesy, but there's no reason why they shouldn't.

thats going to be werid. green chillies are tougher and taste way different.

This is what I was worried about, the chilies I bought are very thick.

Be sure to seed those little bastards. I think they'll be fine.

The heat isn't what I am concerned about, it's the texture of the chili. Regardless, I'm obviously going to give it a go anyway. Fingers crossed.
