Are things everyone likes memefoods? Is /ck/ really a board for hipster faggots?

>> No.6051621

No, they're things everybody but me likes.

There are a few hipsters here. There are a few faggots here. There are a few hipster faggots here. There are even a few women here. But mostly, /ck/ is populated by manchildren who are inexplicably drawn to this board even though they hate food and view cooking as, at best, a chore or, at worst, a pointless skill to have.

Well, theoretically they're things that lots of people seem to have started liking in a very short amount of time; the implication being that they're liking it just because it's "popular" or "viral."

But in reality, most memefoods are just things everyone kinda noticed at once, and now they're enjoying a tasty new flavor they hadn't had access before, and as a side-effect it becomes highly popular and a lot of accessory garbage springs up; the "meme" not being "LOL BACON" but "Bacon can be used for things besides breakfast and occasionally Cobb salad!"

And on /ck/, it just means "Something I'm hearing a lot about lately that I personally dislike; therefore everybody who claims to like it must be just going along with it because it's popular"

Don't forget insufferable americlaps who think they invented everything and everything made in america is best.

No. Why would I? The term "memefood" is classic projection. This thin criticism only offers depressing insight into the brittle ego of /ck/'s self-appointed food aficionados.

I've never, in 6 years, seen a British line cook here.
