But seriously - how does anyone genuinely like the taste of vodka? I'll never understand. Tastes exactly like what I'd expect rubbing alcohol to taste like.

Literally any other kind of liquor is fine by me, my favorite being whisky. But vodka is just so fuckin' nasty.

Not that guy, but my drinks of choice are vodka and tequila. I don't like how alcohol tastes in general (even the "good" shit), so if I'm going to get drunk, I buy the cheapest of whichever and mix it with orange juice or apple cider.

Chug it down, drunk fast, forget my issues.

I hate vodka too. I like tonic water though so I'll occasionally buy New Amsterdam to drink with it. There's noting to dislike about vodka but there's nothing to like either. The only spirit I hate is Bourbon. I like Sctoch and am currently drinking Canadian Club . So I don't know why I hate Bourbon but I do. Admittedly I haven't tried much. I hated JD and Jim Beam so I thought I'd order Maker's Mark before writing off Bourbon. It just tasted like a smoother version of the previous two. Anyone have any suggestions?

For getting drunk to ease the pain?
Bad choice
For good whiskey?
Terrible choice.

Not having a go but I know my way around whiskey and this is honestly one of the worst I have tried. It's an "affordable" single malt but at 40% there is no advantage over the many many good blended malts.
Start with Irish whisky, Bushmills blended will blow your cock off for roughly the same price. Drink it neat or with ice, if you can't handle that get some cheaper shit and add coke.
Again not attacking you but if you can't appreciate good liquor why waste money on it?
Most importantly get drunk as fuck then either reflect on your life or rinse and repeat.

Kids don't like vodka.

Kids like vodka mixed with something to cover it up, or flavored vodka.

Kids will buy rootbeer flavored vodka, or donut flavored vodka.

Kids need to get the fuck out of my liquor store.

What's a good alternative to Highland Park 12 for my second whiskey? I've heard it's gone down in quality since a couple years ago.

Straight vodka is drank a lot by kids, which you would know if you ever had any kind of social life as a youngin

Nah, they'll always buy cheap straight vodka strictly for the sake of getting drunk.

That doesn't make a spirit for kids but it's definitely popular among them.

After a little research, I think I'll try Laphroaig 10, if I can find it. Anyone else here taste it before? How is it?

What are some nice things you can do with rum ?

That's nice though, I tried a few of those rancid 2l bottle ciders when I was a teenager and this one was kinda pleasant and sweet, most importantly it didn't have the rotten apple smell of the cider-coloured ones. I think there was another clear one that wasn't as nice, White Lightning possibly.

Going sober tonight because I fell asleep after work and didn't wake up in time before to liquor store closed.

Being Canadian is suffering.
