I want to start eating healthier and cooking more. I'm pretty much a novice when it comes to cooking anything that doesn't come in a box. What's a pretty simple and quick-to-make dish that's also somewhat healthy that I can have for dinner in the next couple of hours? (I plan on going to the store)

That's a really vague question. There are literally hundreds, if not thousands of dishes which fit your criteria.

What ingredients do you have? What do you feel like eating? What do you normally like to eat? Think about it and decide, then look up some easy recipes, make a list, go to the store and buy the ingredients and then make it.

I eat a lot of frozen peas with seasoning and cooked meat. Throw everything in a pot and add water and bring to boil on medium heat and it's basically done. It tastes good because (good) peas are very sweet and sweeten everything.

I don't know. I usually eat fast food and shit or boxed stuff like hamburger helper, tv dinners, etc. I don't really have any ingredients. All I really have are some cold cuts, cheese, bread, and milk.

Broccoli is really easy to prepare in multiple ways such as steamed then coated in butter salt and pepper, in a soup with vegetable or chicken stock and some melted cheese, fried in a stirfry. Basically anything is easy to cook once you realize there are only a few methods unless youre getting really fancy. Baked, pan fried or stir fried, grilled, boiled/poached, broiled or toasted, fried in deep oil, steamed... just pick a method and look up a recipe. And make sure your meats are cooked to usda temps or a couple degrees below then let them rest 5-10 min with foil tented over
