Fuck. I literally just walked in the door with my chinese takeout. I was super excited to rip into my crab rangoon when I sat down and saw this thread. But for the first time, THEY'RE FUCKING TRIANGULAR WHAT IS THIS SHIT. I've never had them shaped like this before, but I'm pissed. I used to go to a Burmese restaurant for a while. They added crab rangoon to the menu even though it's not a Burmese (or even Asian) dish because old white people kept asking for them since Rangoon used to be the capital of Burma. Same reason they began carrying chopsticks.

Anyway: they shaped them as triangles because flat triangles are the shape of samusa, the Burmese style of samosa and they're easier to make. I don't know why your chinky did it wrong, though.

Sorry to hear that bro. My grandmother passed away this year as well. She used to make faworki as well when I would visit her back in Poland. But her perogies were a million times better than any other ones I've eaten.
