A spoon or two of peanut butter. Makes it less plain and gives it a faint nutty taste, as well as adding protein and unsaturated fats.

Get some, then. Put it in while the oatmeal is still hot and mix it up REALLY well. You can also put a dash of salt and cinnamon in, but I find that it doesn't affect the taste much (Unless you use -absurd- amounts).

Healthy options are also varying types of berries or greek yogurt.

You could also dump in sugar if you want to make it a steaming hot bowl of beetus.

Whatever fresh fruit you have handy, especially if it's a bit overripe and you don't want to eat it plain. Apples, bananas, peaches, berries, anything. (Well maybe not citrus). A pinch of salt, maybe some brown sugar if you like, perhaps cinnamon or nutmeg, some butter/cream/milk if you like, and done. I usually slice my fruits really thin, in smallish pieces, while the oats are cooking, so every bite has some fruit in it.

i like to throw on some shredded mexican cheese and mix it in to let it melt while the cereal is still hot

then i add a little parm and some ketchup

food of the gods every day for breakfast

if i'm feeling extra hungry i like to add those little pre-sliced pizza pepperonis and make a little mushy pizza

Beat me to it, a small pinch of salt makes a lot of difference to the base of oatmeal. Then add what you want, I like honey.

I was really high once and made oatmeal. I ended up mixing it with coffee instead of water/milk and then because I didn't want to carry my yogurt I mixed that shit in there too. I shit you not it was the best thing I ever ate.... Or I was just really high.

>> No.5774372

Never even thought to do this until a saw a recipe for it. All you have to do is mix a banana with it. Throw that banana in and mash the fuck out of it.

The best way to do it though is milk on the stovetop, mash the banana in while the oatmeal is still heating. Add some cinnamon and brown sugar and it tastes exactly like banana bread batter.
