Instead of the usual "last meal" or "if you could only have one food" threads, let's narrow things down a little.

Suppose you could only eat one single meat for the rest of your life. What's your decision? Chicken seems safe, but think of what you'd miss out on.

For the sake of this question, seafood is individual. You can't just say "fish" - it has to be one specific animal.

Pick your protein bitches.

You didnt say anything about health so I'm going bone-in ribeye. Super versatile and utterly delicious.

Wild Mountain Sheep. Local meat market sells it for about the same price as beef but it's gamey and delicious.

Ideally salmon (is price a consideration?)
I don't eat that much meat anyway.

Beef would probably be most versatile/ easy to get a hold of/ easy to find when eating out. Also iron. I hate pork.

I don't really care about "muh most flavor cuts," I just like tenderloin cuz there's no fat/gristle to cut off. You put a whole steak on your plate, you can eat the whole damn thing.

Fish doesn't do it for me, cows taste terrible heritage breeds and pasture raised included, chicken seems to get boring even then I only eat dark meat.

I assume you mean one animal not one meat?

I would go with pig. In practice I tend to eat more chicken than pig but the reality is there's more fun stuff going on with pigs.

I enjoy burgers a few times a year but steak bores me. I only eat it because there's so much cultural baggage around it that ever few years I start to question myself and I eat a big ass USDA prime porterhouse or something and wash it down with a big bold napa cab as required by convention. Afterwards I only feel stupid for thinking it would be different this time.

Not a huge fan of chicken or beef, so I'd probably go with pork. It's versatile as fuck, and can be made into countless delicious things. Think of all the great Italian, Spanish, German and Latino pork dishes. Then add a world of sausage, bacon, jamon serrano, pate, speck and the like.

If anyone's interested how this all breaks down:

>Clear Winner
Pork - 13
>Runner-Up
Beef - 9
>Tied for Third
Salmon - 3
Venison - 3 (one in spirit)
>Only 1 Vote Tier
Goat, Wild Mountain Sheep, Chicken, Turkey, Bison, Prawn, Shrimp, Lobster, Moose, and a deeply regretted Squid.

Interesting to note that while versatility was a key point in pork winning, chicken's own versatility was negated by it being a rather boring meat. The guy who picked chicken even went for the thighs (good taste).

Also aside from sardines, no other fish than salmon was chosen.
