Sorry /ck/ I posted a help thread last night and forgot to check for updates. Once again, what's the expiry date on these dates? Any Arabros in the house?

Just eat one.

The sugar content of dates is so high that you're probably fine.

If you wanna do something cool with them, do ancient Roman influenced stuffed dates. I've adapted them a little bit since the original recipe was way the fuck too sweet.

Pit all the dates, make sure they're nice and opened up to maximize space for stuffing.

Toast some pine nuts and almonds, add a tiny amount of salt, black pepper and cayenne. Grind them with a mortar and pestle until they're the consistency of chunky peanut butter.

Fold in some soft goat cheese like chevre, and a couple drops of olive oil just to lube it up. If it's too tart, you can use cream cheese or marscarpone.

Stuff the dates with the mixture. The best idea is to roast them until hot in the middle. The original recipe says to fry them in oil and honey, but they are overwhelmingly hot.

Thanks for the tip. I was going o make date-nut bread, but that sounds good too. Will taste one and see.
