I'm fucking drunk as shit and I still can't think of paying a 25%+ delivery charge and then tip the guy, what the fuck happened to "delivery boys" That was supposed to be a high school loser job, apparently the store gets to charge a delivery fee (NOTE THE FEE DOES NOT GO TO THE DRIVER) and expect me to tip... aka I should pay 35-50% over the list price to get a pizza.
I really wish there was somewhere here that was "reasonable" at this point want to buy drunk food at a decent mark up, not a fucking 35-50% markup.

You ever stop and think, "Man, I am the only person I know right now who's drunk on a Monday night."

No?

Maybe it's time you have that conversation with yourself.

You're right, I should have lead with I'm home bound and want to order food, why can't I order food with a 50% markup, then I could have tugged at your hart stings by being "vulnerable".

No, then I would have made fun of you for being a spoiled cunt with an overblown sense of entitlement who whines about the privilege of having food delivered to their house for a nominal fee.

the delivery fee is stupid if it doesn't go towards the gas of the driver

I think delivery is one of the few times that tipping actually is appropriate because they have to drive without pay, at least where I live since gas is almost $5 per gallon and they make minimum wage.

When I worked at starbucks we used to trade drinks for pizzas with one of the nearby pizza shop delivery guys when he wasn't busy. Good times.

apparently the company is absorbing their tips into "fee's" at this point. As i showed in OP, I'm not going to take both a 25%+ delivery fee, which doesn't go to the driver, and then tip the guy. I'm not taking both. I have no issue tipping the guy 20%+ but I'm not going to tip his company and him.

is there not somewhere else you can order from? Because that's fucking retarded if it's not going to the driver. The whole point of tipping the driver is to compensate them for the gas that they somehow aren't compensated for.

Not OP, but I've ordered from plenty of pizza places in my time, and every single one nowadays has a delivery charge.

You fucking manchildren don't understand how the real world works.

Don't want to pay the delivery fee? Walk your drunk ass down there.
Don't want the delivery fee to be such a big percentage of your bill? Order more food.

There is no such thing as a free lunch.

>Don't want to pay the delivery fee? Walk your drunk ass down there. You know the old system of we only deliver XX.XX of food worked when they payed out their employes right? A minimum charge meant you weren't paying a "delivery fee". Now were paying the company to send a driver that "requires" tips. But don't worry about it, that guy should be begging for tips while doing his job

Yea... I guess I should be a shitty tipper instead of stiffing the company that is charging me a delivery fee... oh wait, I can't.
I'm not a pizza delivery boy and have never been one, but I don't have an issue tipping them like waitresses, the delivery free is bullshit, the company should only have deliveries if they break even or make money on it IMO.
The idea that they take XX off the top, which most people assume is a tip is bullshit, which is why I've never paid a delivery charge in my life.

OK <3. I was going to before this message, but who knows, maybe paying out dominoes instead of the guy in the shitty car was a good plan. Enjoy not having delivery ever again, I think it's been 3-4 years for me.

I work for a local pizza place, 3 stores is all we have. They have a 2.35 cent delivery fee. I get .90 cents out of that. The rest of it goes to our insurance. I get paid a pretty decent base for fucking DELIVERING FOOD. I love my job. Only time I get mad is delivering food in bad weather and not getting tipped.

>> No.5687066

the "reasoning" behind is it that by being out of the store, especially on long single item deliveries, the company is unable to utilize the worker for other tasks such as cleaning or prep work.

Nothing at all? That's the point of the word 'no' right? I couldn't give a shit less if they tip me 10 cents or what have you, as long as I get SOMETHING out of the trip. Money adds up no matter how little. I'm not gonna be a crybaby because someone only has a little bit to give. Giving anything is better than being a cock and not tipping at all, during bad weather at least.

Just trying to defuse the situation here.

But once while drunk, I apparently orderd 20 pizzas and topperstix.

I passed out shortly thereaftere.

My phone had like 100+ missed messages and apparently I was "blacklisted" (top lel) from Toppers.

Funny because they sent me a few coupon and such a week later.

Well I wouldn't order from them again, regardless because they actually double charge people and fuck with orders. The specific franchise has failed to pay employees. I wonder how they still exist?

I guess living in a college town means that exact much.

1.45 goes to insurance, aka the big new york insurance companies, more than 50% of the job you did goes to some dude in a suit hanging out in and office and you love your job. Top fucking kek. Bend over some more please.
Because you know not getting tipped means that some "bro" in new york gets 61.7% of that fee.
>>5687070
don't worry, give them all of that money.
Thanks for the tip though, next time I'll tip a penny because you guys will take what you can get and not shit talk me when I drop you a penny.

I'm saying that you cannot avoid delivery fee's anymore. I mean you could just stop tipping, but that isn't fair to the employees. The order XX of food and we will deliver for free, then you tip the employee was a much better system then, we force you to pay us and we expect you to tip our "driver".

Niggers need to write that gas off as a business expense. Though they probably don't have enough in deductions to make itemizing them worth it.

Like, even if you placed a 200+ buck order, you'd still get charged the same lame ass delieivery fee of $1.95
