But it can do you harm. Paleo likes to pretend it's all about the fruit and veg, but in reality it emphasises animal foods, which most research points to being unhealthy. The best Paleo can claim is that it's better than the standard American diet, but that doesn't make it a good diet on its own.

This is my favorite "look how healthy paleo is" study. First you have the fact that the "cereal based diet" has no real description and the paleolithic diet they were switched to was rich in fruits and vegetables which are obviously going to show health improvements, this being a typical tactic of paleo promoters, to show their diet in comparison to an obviously shitty diet and then claim the superiority is from the lack of grains and the meaty meals rather than the presence of fruits and vegetables. But then you remember the Paleo diet is supposed to be based on what our HUMAN ancestors supposedly evolved to eat, and they decided to prove this by testing the HUMAN diet on PIGS. Actual paleo promoters show people this study.

Why not eat lots of fruits and vegetables, which are good for you, and lots of whole grains and legumes, which are also good for you?
