This. Dunken Donuts has been a known brand since the 70's. They also pioneered the yeast over cake donut. local bakeries will always be better, but Dunken, like all chains, made it's money by being a known factor for travellers and truckers, and selling a stable if mediocre product in all locations. It got it's start before the flourishing of all it's rivals.

This, combined with aggressive marketing and low costs, made them big. From what I understand they're getting their shit pushed in by other coffee places these days, hence their diversified menu

Tim Hortons is the only donut place anywhere near me and I don't even live in Canada. We have a couple Dunkins and Krispy Kremes in my city but they're so out of the way they don't even count. I'm okay with this.

What? Tim Hortons is below average for sure, the only reason I still kind of like it is for the nostalgia factor. The first Dunkin' donuts ive ever had was in the philippines. It was pretty popular there and for a good reason too. Their yeast donuts were soft and moist, and the icing was nice and gooey too.

But the dunkin donuts here are a HUGE disappointment. I don't know how they stay in business with their dry dry desert donuts. Their cake donuts are fine, but im not into those.

When Dunkin' Donuts pulled out of California decades ago the franchise owners just changed the names of their shops to Sunny Donuts and stayed in business. Now Dunkin' is reopening stores here and trying to make a comeback and frankly I don't know why they're bothering. Sunny Donuts somehow manages to be leagues better despite their heritage.

From Tacoma and we don't have DD or Tim Horton's. Our only Krispy Kreme shops are outside of malls. I think it's because there's a LOT of Asian-run ones that are far superior.

Also, Voodoo is kind of not that great, the donuts dipped in Tang powder are pretty good though. There's a local Voodoo knockoff called Epic Donuts, it's all space-themed. It's tastier than Voodoo

The dunkin there always had fresh donuts and they were fucking delicious regardless of when I bought them

DD is base line. But I noticed the one in Tucson tasted a lot different than in VA. It was weird. The best places to get doughnuts is at places that open at like 5 and have construction workers there constantly. At least in my experiences. Also over priced doughnuts taste worse 75% of the time, the fuck is up with that.

These are way overhyped in the kawaii community.

I've had breakfast cereals with more flavor than these crappy cookies, plus they're difficult to make by hand. You can pay out the ass for almond flour or half-ass your own ground almonds if you're a poorfag. Getting the consistency correct is a bitch and there's too many "guides" online that lie about it.

The only flavor these have are from the cream in the middle but more often than not the whole thing just tastes like caster sugar-induced diabetes. I've had them bought too, same gross shit.
