Same thing happened to pulparindo in 2007 and a bunch of other mexican/chinese candies.

I bought some spicy chewy mexican candies a year ago and emailed the company before eating them asking them if they test their products for lead.

They emailed me back saying they did test for lead and they even sent me some government list of lead-free imported candies.

Still I get concerned because of how regularly I eat mexican candies.

I really liked the Big Xtra. I haven't gone to Wal-Mart solely for one, but I've definitely eaten one when I wasn't hungry but happened to be in a Wal-Mart that had them.
