Haha, bullshit!

Deschutes Black Butte Porter

Pretty good porter, and close to my favorite beer Brooklyn Brewery's Black Chocolate Stout (only seasonal).

Tastes of coffee and chocolate and gets you hammered.

Hey OP, a chain of liquor stores called "Spec's" here in Texas has many of the Rochefort ales, so if you like it try your local bigger liquor chain, if you have one. If you like the Rochefort #10, try the #8 or move over to Chimay Grande Reserver (Chimay Blue).

Black Butte porter is really good, I haven't tasted Brooklyn's chocolate stout. What did you think of Saint Arnolds blue Icon porter texfaggot?

Mah nigga. I've been getting into Belgian beer recently and the guy at my local beer store busted that open for me to try and it was amazing. $7.50 a 12oz bottle though by me at least.

Drinking pic related. Really weird beer. Tastes like a liquid cinnamon roll.

Laguanitas IPA, not super fancy but enough to get me to sleep.

i'm alright with a hard alcohol thread. post em if you got em. I'm drinking this shit.

>>5541974
if you are who I was responding to, I take it you weren't impressed with the Icon porter? I'm not going to sperg on you if you are, I thought it was underwhelming for an Icon variety but it wasn't bad beer by any means.

Didn't have it. I love hard alcohol from Oregon too! Crater Lake Hazelnut Vodka in a white russian is awesome as is their gin and all the Oregon pair brandy.

While still a very good beer, it's not really worth waiting for "that" occasion to drink it.
Just open it one night and be prepared to have your mind blown if you havent tried a Trappist before.
I assume you have tried craft beer before?

A friend of mine brought me a carton of pale ale, oatmeal stout + a 0.75L bottle of redwine cask aged imperial stout from a small craft brewery in Tyrol.

I think I'm going to have enough to drink over the immediate future.

I think I'm going to have it tonight since anons said it is exported and if I want I can go to the specialty beer store and get some more. I didn't know how available it would be, there are some limited release beers that I do actually save because I can only get a few bottles a year.

I have never had a Trappist and am excite.

Kind of sucks they brought you that back when you can get it at any liquor store ever.

I've been into sour beers lately, just managed to buy the last bit of Duchesse de Bourgogne that a specialty store in the city had. Gave two bottles away as gifts, sitting on four until I hear from the distributor that more is coming.

Drank an entire pint of New Belgiums Brown Sour last night with a brick of blue cheese, and I have been farting all goddamned day though.

Eh, I should have done some research or asked you queers what to request that they get for me. I didn't think much of it, when they asked what I wanted I said bring me a good Belgian beer. What I have is what the guy at the beer store suggested to them when they asked for a good beer to buy for me. My folk are awesome but they're total plebs, love em though. they said he asked what kind of beer I like. She told him I like "a strong beer", which to them is anything that isn't sold as light beer in a cardboard case.

still very looking forward to having it and am happy that I can buy it easily if I really like the stuff.
