Hey, /Ck/, /tg/er here in need of a bit of help.

Tomorrow night me and some friends are hanging out for our usual RPG stuff, and I wanted to know what would be a good, cheap, filling thing I can make for a group of four?

Just decent food that isn't chips, beer and soda, I mean.

Pic related, my face when my guests told me I should buy all the steaks for dinner.

Depends on how picky your group members are... Chickpea salad with grilled chicken is cheap and filling, if they will eat it...

>> No.5516709

You're a fa/tg/uy right? Just make meatbread like you always do

>> No.5516723

Toast sandwiches.
I'm a brit, btw

>> No.5516740

Club sandwiches. BLTs. Monte Cristos. Fajitas. Baked beans or refried beans for farting up the gaming table.

Get naan and various toppings and make naan pizza.

The best way to do it is with garlic naan, pesto, feta and caramelized onions/mushrooms.

>> No.5516742

Sandwiches perhaps?
Isi modo would be to simply lay out the ingredients and let your guests do all the work.

Also: Potato salad, baguettes with tomatoes, salami and cheese on them baked until crispy, potatoes boiled whole and served with cheeses, pickled herring and a glass of milk.

Actually goat cheese, not feta.

>he's never had goat feta

Usually when I played RPG, we try to do something that isn't "heavy" so we son't get sleep after eacting and can go on on playing.
Sandwiches are a nice idea, and try serving something that peole can munch on while they play.

Hard tack , and salt beef

That would actually be moderately awesome for a naval campaign.

Pray tell, OP, what genre are you playing?

>> No.5516775

A few loaves of italian bread, a few packets of frozen italian beef, and a big jar of marconi giardiniera. Serve from the warm broth. (add some cheese too, maybe some black pepper motz)

I mean specifically what he wants is good ol' creamy goat cheese, but please, shitpost some more.

Tacos. He only thing to cook is the meat and everyone can make them the way they like.

How about something related to your RPG game?

Fantasy stuff if it is so based.

This.

If you have a slow cooker you can just get some pork shoulder/butt and cook it all day in spices.

>> No.5516831

>>5516741
this sounds fuckin delicious, whether you make it with feta or goat

>> No.5516840

>>5516643
Why not make it related to your game? Roast a few chickens over a fire on a spit. Make a few pies and cakes, hell a stew is cheap and easy to make for a large group of people.

Sorry for the delay...

Fantasy, set in the equivalent of 1680 or so tech wise. Throw in some Balticization and thats the setting.

>> No.5517265

A nice hearty beef stew, accompanied by some rustic bread. You could just make the stew in the slow cooker all day and thicken it close to when everybody is actually ready to eat, if you don't want to keep checking on it.

100 mcnuggets and a selection of dips

Ful Medames. Just cold pureed beans (you can use canned beans just remove the tomato juice if there is some), onions, salt, cumin, lemonjuice and olive oil. Scoop up with bread and eat.
This is actually dynastic Egyptian, most likely the oldest recipe known to humanity.
