checkers/central park/curley fries/tots/waffle fries are all better than mc d's nowadays

>> No.5439556

honestly just standard soggy chippy chips with mushy peas

big fan of mcdonalds fries as well

although really most of the time i'd prefer a bowl of jersey royals boiled then roasted in their skin with mustard seeds and lemon and lots of salt

Fried Potato wedges with cheese sauce and bacon bits. Kinda the same you'd get at Jack in the box, but homemade is better.

Some of my best food experiences have been shitty microwaved tesco chips and kebab while really drunk, with the awful "garlic mayo" and chili sauce

Sober, "red potatoes" at Court Avenue in Des Moines, which were deep fried quartered potatoes but were herbed well and fried perfectly

I also like par-boiled par-fried potatoes in curries

A bowling ally the next town over had THE BEST crinkle cut fries I've ever had. I've tried to recreate them so many times. Even going so far as to talk to the cooks about what they do (they just peel, cut, fry), and how they cook them, but it never trimmed out the same. Then that place closed down.

;_;

i figured you'd need some sort of power tool to a potato looking like that. ;_;

I don't eat anything fried. I often have steamed sweet potatoes in my bowl of whole grain, sprouted legumes, and greens. Last night I had 100% whole wheat + flax bread with sweet potato dip, because there's no such thing as too much carbs.

Something about the texture. It's a little too grainy, a little too much dry starch taste. I'm okay with crispy fries but I can't do giant ones.

I'll eat them but I'm not a huge fan I guess
