This shit is top tier. We used to have them on the last day of elementary school, ie 'field days'. The peppermint stick has little holes/tubes running through it so you can use it as a straw. If a stick randomly doesn't have holes, you can just dip it in the lemon and squeeze some juice out or whatever. Just eat it outside and get messy. So fucking good.

There's also a middle eastern tea recipe where you make nice strong peppermint tea and add fresh lemon/lime juice and sugar. It's really super as well.

As OP stated, you can't use candy cane, you have to use soft peppermint sticks-

Yeah, plus normal hard candy canes won't dissolve enough. The soft ones dissolve slightly and mix with the lemon juice. The product info on Amazon also says they're good with hot cocoa which sounds pretty good too.
