I have no idea why it's garlic sauce. I come from Sweden and if we get vitlökssås ("garlic sauce") on our pizzas, it is white and creamy. Papa John's is all oil and yellow. Still tastes like garlic, just a weird recipe I suppose.

Man, it's gotten so the local groceries do pizza soooooooo much better than the big 5 delivery chains lately. From store brand for 2/$8, to all the take and bake, to the dough balls and salad bar of grilled stuff...I can make a pizza at home in less than 15 minutes, if I just shop for it. I have a pampered chef pizza stone for 20 years now that is still kickin, preheat oven with that thing in there, and bam! Good pizza. I also love making calzones with leftovers.
