It's Build-a-Burger time.

How do you construct your perfect burger?

Mine:
Brioche Bun
Homemade Bearnaise
Some leaves of rucola
3 raw onion rings
2 slices of thick cut smoked bacon
patty made from oxtail and flank, infused with fresh thyme and garlic
pickles
Bearnaise
Brioche Bun

You mean you chopped them up and added it to the mix.

Your burger sounds pretty turrible. The one in your pic is way better.

Simple enough really
Just bun, patty with lettuce, cheese, onions, tomatoes, ketchup, mustard, pickles, and top bun in that order.

lately it's been

buttered toasted bun
mayo mixed with indian lime pickle
tomato
sharp cheddar
patty cooked medium
some rocket/arugula/whatever... i don't like lettuce though.
little bit more mayo+indian lime pickle
buttered toasted bun

Lately, my favorite burger combination has been (top to bottom): toasted brioche bun, mayo (preferably homemade, but if not, Hellmann's), sliced tomato, pickles (preferably salt pickles), red leaf lettuce, red onion, a dab of grainy mustard, patty (ideally made from boneless chuck ribs, a little bacon fat, and bison steak), olive tapenade or roasted red pepper spread and a light spreading of cream cheese.

Try it with a goo ciabatta or brioche bun. It makes a world of difference.

2 patties
cheese
crispy bacon
sautéed onions
jalapenos

Honestly don't care for sauces (except sometimes tzatziki) or the typical lettuce tomato, etc. Guess I'm a pleb

>cook that shit, red inside preferred
>no buns, small amount of mustard and half a slice of provolone on each patty

Perfection

I buy the Boca burgers if that counts, but basically

>store bought wheat buns
>slice of pepperjack on the bottom bun
>patty
>ketchup/mayo mixture on top bun

I toast the buns after apply the cheese and sauce too. That way everything gets a little warm so there's not so much contrast between hot burger and cold everything else.

Half a long toasted flatbread.
Hummus.
1/3 lb burger patty.
Carmelized onions.
Cheese.
More hummus.
Other half of the toasted flatbread.

>> No.5326254

The bun only matters in so far as it must have some grip while not being too thick, too dense, or too soggy. The inner sides should be lightly toasted.
Mayonnaise should be thinly spread on the top bun.
Lettuce...if you're going that route, should be green and leafy. No bits-and-pieces shit, only whole leaf.
No tomato, because fuck that shit.
With cheese...less is more, and simplicity triumphs over complexity. Cheddar or colby or monterey jack, whatever. Blue cheese or somesuch is acceptable but it changes the whole deal, different kind of sandwich.
The meat should be beef, it should be 1/3 pound or so, it should be pink in the middle, it should not be overly browned.
Pickles don't go on sandwiches.
Ketchup and mustard are not desired here.

Really, the key to a good burger is the beef. If you get that right, the burger will turn out fine.
