Brains are not weird food.

Lamb brain lightly coated in bread crumbs and either shallow or deep fried is fucking delicious.

Anyway, I have eaten a few insects before which some of them gave been grasshoppers, witchetry grubs, cockroaches, spiders. Nothing much besides just insects really, and they aren't even that weird considering they eaten by a lot if people across Asia

I like heart. Any heart. I particularly like deep fried chicken heart, but I'm a fan of venison heart as well. I've also had bear heart added to a sausage; that was tasty.

I just love the texture of heart-meat.

Though I suspect this isn't unusual outside of the US.

If that doesn't count the weirdest thing I've eaten would be a few varieties of snake, I guess. But they weren't terribly weird tasting.

For me I guess liver. My mom for some bizarre reason one day decided she wanted to make liver. My dad fucking hates liver, but she forced me to eat it anyway despite his protests. I took one bite, it was all gritty and bitter, and spit it back out. My dad said that's enough, and took me out for pizza. My mom got to eat her shitty liver all by herself that night.

You can either fry or boil the bugs to cleanse their insides. This usually will also neutralize any poison they have, but it's not recommended to rely too much on it.

Actually it does, as well as doing other harmful things in your body.

The confusion comes from industry-funded research where the people doing the study use people with already high blood cholesterol and high dietary cholesterol, and then add another source of dietary cholesterol, at which point the increase is negligible. In healthy people, dietary cholesterol can significantly raise cholesterol.

http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/6142348

Of course, saturated fat is the main thing that raises cholesterol, and the two are often found together anyway.
