just the cheapest whiskey you could find (although doesnt really matter, i liberated it from riteaid free of cost). in a plastic half gallon. shits vile... but nostalgic. Wish I had a beer though. And an entire fried chicken.

Yup. OP's does look oddly greasy but it's mostly in the lighting. The coloration is off because you expect it to be yellow and it's not green enough to clearly show it's meant to be green.

Vietfag here, it's basically coconut flavored rice cake. Sort of like that mochi crap, but not chewy or as elastic. Ours is firmer and easier to chew. The one in OP's pic baked versus the traditional way of steaming. Personally I like steaming cause it's nicer on the chewing, but I'll eat whatever.
