I pretty much agree.
All fries can be done well or done poorly, except curly fries which are good at even the worst fast food restaurants and wedges which are very very very rarely good at all. I've had fucking fantastic crinkle cut fries (which most people hate because these are done horribly at public school cafeterias all over america) and I have had steak fries that border on wedges but steak fries done right really hit the spot. Regular fries are infrequently messed up. Waffle fries sometimes get too potatoey (Carl's Jr. sometimes fucks up criss cuts) but in general they're pretty good.
This is one of the best OP tier lists I've ever seen, but if I think of the best instances of each of these things and rank them rather than the average it would probably be: Regular, crinkle cut, waffle, curly, steak, wedges
Curly fries are ALWAYS great but fine establishments don't really do them so I haven't had any phenomenal- not sure how much potential is there.

If you like mushy steamed potato, them wedges or steak fries. If you like crisp, then waffle, followed by shoestring.
