I tried making the "million dollar chicken" which is basically chicken roasted on top of French bread and glazed with creme fraiche, shallot purée, and lemon zest. The stuffing is thyme, garlic, and lemon. The bread is supposed to soak up all the juicy goodness. I over salted my chicken on this first try so the skin and bread were a bit too salty, but the meat was very tender and the sauce was pretty good. The bread would've been amazing had it not been too salty.

Thus, we often have different names for the different sides of the family.

Tukimi is viewing the moon. The white of the egg is a cloud. The yolk is a full moon.
The Japanese expresses food with an egg by the word Tukimi in many cases.

Made some Gyudon for the first time, was pretty delicious.

Was a little sweet, probably because I substituted the sake with extra mirin, and the onions were over cooked.
I also didn't have access to dashi, so I substituted with white miso soup, seemed to do the trick.

Would eat again.

Gotta get that cheese on earlier to ideally melt it, or at least get it mailable at room temp. Also, if you're gonna server your burgers med-rare to medium (smart), you wanna let them degrease and rest on a plate for a minute before serving; that will prevent them from leeching moisture onto the bun and plate like in the pic. I only offer my humble advice because your pic makes it seem like you are a man who knows what's up.

Dat protein tho. Solid bulk. Is that pumpernickel or something? Not okay with that. Everything else is a strong 9/10.

out on a camping trip cooked a burrito (no name) and a pork chop with bbq sauce over a fire. Get back in and realize I didn't bring any damn plates, so I used a piece of plywood and a sheet of paper. Retarded (yes), delicious (YES).

Chicken and potats. Sage and rosemary butter under the skin, lemon up the butt, "marinade" of soy sauce and maple syrup.

Shrimp taglierini, as per Jamie Oliver's recipe. Fresh shrimp is great, but unless you're confident in your cooking, remove the shrimps as soon as they're fully cooked, and set them aside while you let the tomatoes stew fully. The little bastards overcook easily.

Their backs look perfectly intact. Hence; you're either a ninja when it comes to deveining shrimp, or you had poo for dinner

Oh that. I don't know what the shrimp were eating, but their intestines didn't have any colour to them. I was too lazy to remove it. I was hungry.

On small shrimps it's not an issue. Think gambas a la plancha. They don't get deveined and are mighty tasty. Depending on the food industry, if they're breeded they could easily be starved before fishing. Also, you can very often pull a prawns intestines out in one fell swoop either from its head or its arse. Sometimes it comes out when you pull off the tail.
