>boil water
>drink tea all day
>jittery as fuck

why didn't anyone tell me

>> No.5054430

>>5054425

From my experience, that only happens occasionally and under fairly specific circumstances. I only get the jitter when I steep a batch of tea the third time and then too long.

>> No.5054436

There's caffeine in tea, laddie.

>> No.5054439

Happens to me at around 7-8 cups of green tea, 5 cups of black tea or 1 cup if it has white chrysanthemum in it for some reason.

Tea still has caffeine...

>> No.5054441

you can build up a tolerance to caffeine.

i can take 2 caffeine (400mg) and be alright. my bowels will get angry and want to empty themselves entirely out, but i won't get jittery.

Chrysanthemum tea has no caffeine in it, though.

I do get the jitters from pu-er but no other tea (or coffee).

I know. But for some reason the flowering tea balls with chrysanthemum in them leave me with shaking hands.

>> No.5055412

>>5055299
I'm not quite sure if you mean what I'm thinking about, but flowering tea balls often have actual tea surrounding the flower itself, which would explain the jitters.

>> No.5055631

How buzzed can you possibly be, OP? Black tea has less than half the amount of caffeine a cup of coffee does, and if your pic is anything to go by you're drinking green tea, which has even less.

Personally, I only use one teabag per day and just put new water in the cup, so it gets progressively watered down by the end of the day.

those are neat looking. at first glance I thought they were sippy cups based on the thumbnail. seems like they're not readily available in the US, and the ones on ebay appear to be $30 or more plus shipping. a steep price, you might say

the leaves aren't being juiced, though. they are dried and then steeped in water.

it's an infusion, not a juice.

>> No.5058640

>>5058613

you're not juicing the leaves though, you're steeping them, also if they're dried leaves there would be no juice to extract

it's a bit like arguing that soy milk should be called soy juice (although I'd say that's more correct than referring to tea as tea juice), when the point isn't necessarily to call it the absolute most factual accurate thing. "milk" is correctly used as a name for milk-like substances (soy milk, coconut milk, milk of magnesia, etc)
