As far as my little experience with both ethnicities goes, the Greek are usually a bit more open to other people. Turks like to keep to themselves. Other than that there's obviously the religion. They're both very religious but of different faiths. The few Greeks I know also hate Turks with a passion over the whole Cyprus thing. I've never had trouble with either. I was mugged once by immigrants and those were Albanian.

I don't hate Turks, though, but I hate how lazy the Greeks are because they're affecting everyone else's economy really badly. Also the Greek Nationalist party scares me and I sometimes worry they might get out of hand and go all Germany 1939 on Europe. Oh, I was just curious about the parsley sauce. We have "swedish sauce" around here, and it usually includes a simple concoction of butter, onion, cream, and capers. The capers have always felt out of place. I wanted to know what was traditionally in Scandinavian cream sauces, in the actual frozen European north.

>> No.4928747

>>4928742
Oh, that's what I was forgetting. Yes, we typically use stock concentrates, those paste stocks that need to be refrigerated.

Milk is not used more because our pots are thin and large, and our burners hot and narrow. It's easier to slowly heat cream and thicken with cold roux than to create a bechamel with hot roux and cold milk in a massive quantity.

Is brown colouring the same as gravy bouquet?
