Hot dogs are strictly edible and work fine from the standpoint of food-as-fuel, but don't pretend that they're anything other than low-quality garbage.

They can taste good in spite of that if you use the right 'condiments,' but in the same vein as the dogfood-tier taco meat or chicken mcnugget it's always in spite of what they are and never because of it.

With the right seasoning and coverings anything can taste good, even a turd, and the hot dog is a prime example.

the point is, we'd rather not know what is in hotdogs. From an uninformed standpoint, they are good food, taste good, and so on.

If you are going to be such a fanatic, then why won't you accept that so many different foods contain so many hundreds, even thousands, of chemicals? You think meat is pure? Even the steak you buy, has been filled with so many chemicals, especially nitrates and preservatives.

So if you are going to be such a fanatic, then perhaps you should just buy your own farm and grow your own food. Otherwise, nothing you buy is truly organic or natural.

When I was in Anchorage airport there was a place that sold sausages in buns. I had a reindeer sausage. It was one of the best things I ate in Alaska.
The insides were amazingly juicy with some spicy stuff in the meat, which tasted deliciously unique. It was perfectly hot on the inside, all kept in by a formidable but satisfying skin-thing, charred just right.

Oh god I'm drooling

its not fancy but nothing beats a campfire weenie with ketchup and mustard.... something about being outdoors makes it like 10x better.

i have to agree. toast your weenie and bun and throw on some fresh toppings and you're all set for the great outdoors

that thing on top is green chile sauce.
A Sonora is basicaly fresh baked roll, all street vendors buy from a local bakery and never use supermarket buns,
bacon wrapped griddle cooked dog
carmelized onions
fresh tomatoes, seasoned
mayo, mustard, chile
Lots of other toppings avail, but that is the basic. Pic has beans but that is not common.
