there have only ever been three good vegetarian sandwiches in the history of the world

the first is the caprese. fresh (or sundried) tomato slices, fresh mozarella slices, fresh basil, and a slight drip of balsamic vinegar on soft fucking foccacia. you can press the bitch if you really want to, but make sure you use sundried tomato if you do

the second is eggplant parm with marinara sauce, which is god's apology to vegetarians

the third is grilled tofu banh mi, but you really have to get all the retarded moisture out you stupid fucking mongoloid

>> No.4855605

i hear if you add meat to a vegetarian sandwich it turns out great

>> No.4855622

Curried egg? That shit is pretty good and provides pretty good fart ammo.

Avocado with some proper seasalt, freshly ground black pepper, a trickle of extra virgin olive oil and maybe a dash of hot sauce is all I need.

>> No.4855646

>>4855641
why olive oil with avocado? avocado is crazy oily as it is.
>>4855563
caprese is great, but i wouldn't go for sundried tomatoes, just fresh ones for me. that's just me though.

Because I like the flavours together. Also, I like my bread toasted so the olive oil compensates for the dryness of the bread.

Yes. I sometimes dribble a little wine or apple cider vigar on avocado if it's not quite ripe enough but I've opened it up anyway, seems to tenderise it a bit. Avocados are always a bit of a gamble on the ripeness department I find. Sometimes they can't seem to ripen and sometimes one that feels perfectly fine is rotten to the core. But when you get a perfect one it's amazing.

I'm eating a pita with avocado as we speak, it's delicious.

Any day, throw in some chives or spring onion and I'm sold, even though I'm a carnivore.

Also, shrooms on toast or a variation thereof.

Vegetables.

Seriously? You can't beat a salad sandwich with cheese (tasty) and mayo (aioli)

>> No.4856043

long roll slathered with homemade baba ghanouj
deep-fried seasoned green tomato slices
beet-pickled turnips or radishes
sliced pickled chilies
shredded carrots

also:
long bread roll slathered in harisa
deep-fried cutlet(s) of smoked provola
fresh sauce made from garlic, olive oil, tomatoes and basil

when in doubt, look to malta, italy, north africa and lebanon for vegan and vegetarian foods that are simple and good, up to and including sandwiches.

You can also make a pesto out of basil for some extra flavors.

I enjoy grilled vegetable sandwiches. Portobellos, zucchini, onion, red bell pepper, spread of choice. Often they come with goat cheese at restaurants if you like that stuff.

If you're after a filling sandwich, you'll need protein with them carbs. Tempeh, tofu, seitan, oncom, black bean paste/patty, chickpea paste/patty, soy patty, eggs. Add vegetation, cheese, s+p, sauces, maybe some heat. Ingest.

i like to have a veggie sandwich from time to time. my advice is to get some serious bread. something that absolutely will NOT fall apart. if you're planning on using the wonderbread then you might as well forgo the sandwich idea.
