Anything you can cook over a campfire, hot dogs, smores, hobo pie, things like that.

>> No.4825050

Pizza, hands down.

>take turns rolling the dough, then flattening it
>everyone can out on whatever toppings they want
>there's always that one douche who pours his canned mushrooms over the entire pie

Good time.

pizza
I use basic bakery flatbreads or pizza dough. A low cal option is FlatOut. Have a few toppings presliced or roasted.
Big salad or appetizers.

Tacos, nachos, potatoes and even soups can go through a toppings bar, with a warm cheese or meat kept in a crock pot. Chili can be made 5way in the same fashion.

Tamales
Thai lettuce wraps
Sundaes
Empanadas, jamaican patties

Things where you have a lot of topping options are fun, like more than you'd have available when just cooking for a couple people. Pizza is great, or sub sandwiches, or hot dogs...they all depend on the variety of toppings to make them fun. Tacos may be okay too but there are more more typical toppings people expect. For something like hot dogs, I'd try and lay out the toppings for 4 or 5 completely different regional topping styles, and maybe print a pic of each to give people some ideas.

Peppers are quite common on pizzas in the US, I'd guess the most popular non-meat topping after mushrooms.

>>4825092
I should've guessed it was a cultural thing. I've never seen peppers on a pizza, at least not in big chunks.

Group omelets

Pasta, like ravioli's. Set up an assembly line to roll, cut, fill, boil, whatever.

Canning fruits/preserves. A bigger group makes it not so bad.

For any wedding, my family gathers to make mints as a group. Cream cheese, powdered sugar, extract (coconut, almond, and mint usually), and dyes. Set in sugar after popping them out of their mold. Mix two colors (marbled) or whatever.

>have dough
>have sauce
>have cheese
>have many many fillings available
>have lots of booze and good music too

And then everyone makes their own stromboli with whatever the fuck they want. They can brag about their strombili to the other fuckers there and share some if they think its good, and likewise the other fuckers there can push their tastes on everyone else. Eventually the faggot with the best tastes will win the party and get his dick sucked by the hottest non-commited girl in the shack. Actually he'll probably get knobbed by the hottest girl regardless of her marital/relationship status.

>Protip
Add a little Tabasco, profit. And mushrooms.

Sushi rolls (Makizushi) we have sushi parties all the time. Dirt cheap, feeds so many and a lot of fun to learn.

Meatballs.
>One chops garlic
>One rips up bread
>One kneads gradually as the others add.
>All of you roll meatballs and pop them in the fryer.

For how fast they go, it's worth having help for meatballs.

Honestly, any fried food is probably great for groups. Flour, egg, breading, and frying stations with a different friend manning each. Anything with lots of preparation steps. Ravioli or eggrolls would be other examples of food that require heavy preparation.

Just prepare a lot of different ingredients and sauces. Let everybody mix their own salad afterwards.

Dude, my buddies and I had a cajun cooking night. One friend brought his recipe for Gumbo and I made a ghetto succotash over the grill. Cornbread in the oven and presto! Good times dawg.

The key is to assign you're friends who have no idea what their doing to do the grunt work like cutting up veggies.

When I was a kid, my parents used to have people over for popiah parties. Those're fun.
You can do the same with lots of other similar sorts of foods, like burritos and, as already mentioned, pizzas.
