ITT: fictional foods you really wish were real. Pic related. I don't know what "chilean/mexican style" fried chicken would taste like, but I want it. I did try a different recipe last time I made fried chicken, I included a lot of chile powder and cumin in the flour, since cumin is used in a lot of mexican dishes, and it was good, but still, I want the real thing.

Yeah, Big Kahuna burger was always so tempting for me.

I've always wanted a few unattainable things:

1) Fucking ninja turtles pizza. Super gooey cheese with minimal tomato sauce. I've found some close examples, but never that golden standard.

2) Flintstone's-style meat on the bone. I want a giant, red piece of meat on a pristine white bone. I dunno what it would taste like. Chinese duck? Brachiosaurus? The image has always been very appealing to me, though. Same goes for that perfectly brown drumstick that you always see in cartoons.

3) I've always wanted some of that foggy cyan liquid you alway see in science fiction. They served some in the Mos Eisley bar, and they were always serving it on the Enterprise in Star Trek. It looked fucking delicious. What the fuck did it taste like? Cotton candy, I bet.

I always imagined that blue milk in Star Wars would taste like the shit left over from a bowl of Lucky Charms.

But according to Alton Brown, the blue milk is most likely a plant extract, because the suspended fat molecules in milk would scatter any visible wavelengths of light. Plus Tattooine is too inhospitable for pastoralism.

There is no "Chilean" style when it comes to food. They literally just take everything from the regions around them, remember their geographical location and shape of the territory. Pisco is Peruvian, so is ceviche and gaucho herding and steak is from Argentina and Bolivia.

Book descriptions of food are good tier. If I'm reading a fantasy novel with a medieval setting I always have to make a bowl of rustic soup to eat while reading it. Little House on the Prairie had really great food descriptions as well.

Copy cat recipe from Pollo Campero (which I imagine los pollos hermanos is based on)

To marinate chicken
2 breasts (or thighs)
250g flour
50g cornflour
2 teaspoons paprika
1 teaspoon minced garlic
1 teaspoon ground cumin
1 teaspoon curry
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon ginger
1 teaspoon pepper
1 teaspoon ground cayenne (I did not use)
Salt
Water
Second batter
200g flour
½ teaspoon curry
½ teaspoon minced garlic
½ teaspoon ground cumin
½ teaspoon cayenne (I did not use)
Pepper, salt
Instructions
Chop the pechugas.Reservar
In a bowl put the flour and spices, gradually add the water, stirring until a compact paste (not too thick, not clear)
Add chicken mix all bien.Tiene to cover the whole chicken.
Allow to marinate at least 2 hours in refrigerator.
In another bowl put all the ingredients of the second batter.
Remove chicken and batter again, now go through a strainer to remove excess flour.
Fry in plenty of oil.
Remove and leave on a napkin absorbent.
Notes

When we go to not get hit frying large amount, so it does not cool the oil.

I don't know why everyone freaked out about the 27:00 part. It isn't a fucking worm, she has a skin tag or just a different anus. It isn't unattractive or anything, just different.

People flipped out saying it was a worm and not lube or anything because there was no anal in the scene, but they are just retarded.
