I'm turning 18 soon and I'm going to be moving out.. Can I survive on eggs and bread? I suck at cooking and egg sandwiches are cheap.

I'm also probably going to buy tang mix in bulk in conjunction with a water filter

I have been and I'm not even a poor student. Maybe one day I'll get sick of it.

OP, cooking can seem like a daunting task until you realize that most things are easy as shit to make and cost way less than you think they do.

I mean shit, you can microwave the bacon you buy at the store (I think its like 2 slices at 1min 35 seconds), stick that on your egg sandwich, throw a slice of cheese on there the second the toast comes out and you got yourself a whole meal.

Plus, all you have to do is wash fruits.
When it comes to veggies, go simple. Buy the broccoli or asparagus that's already in the package. Take that shit out, put it in a pan, add some olive oil and some pepper and enjoy. Even if you fuck it up the first couple of tries, you'll get the hang of it.
Don't let being on your own scare you. Give some of this stuff a try and realize you were scared for no reason

I'm turning 18 soon and I'm going to be moving out.. Can I survive on eggs and bread? I suck at cooking and egg sandwiches are cheap. depend on where you are moving. Bread and eggs can be cheap. or costly. find some friends. and listen. to them. theres na mayoynasie in ireland, . I said No man is an Island. And chances are, you will have to swallow a lot of crow and that's ok. I happen to like soft scrumpy fried eggs, on toast. on even french toast. but I wouldn't try to eat them in a sammich, all at once. all you accomplish is a big mess .You will be ok, or not. but I think ok. Besides, the buss has done come up the road once, and rinse the youlks off and put it in the dish drainer. god amighty, first job I ever had as a dishwasher was trying to clean set up egg youlk off of plates. second was ( cleaning up the back lot, used condoms an all) and other things. Just remember, unless rich, when you cook, someone has to clean. Chances are, it's gonna be you.. that goes for life, also.

>ITT: Other poor college fags whose weekly groceries are bread, milk, and eggs who also have terrible smelling farts

Yep, sure is college in here.

OP, I've been living off of egg, fried salami, and cheese sandwiches all year. I would buy the occasion bottle of 100% juice or bananas or something else cheap though. I have pretty good energy and I only eat twice a day.

It's shit on Saturday and Sunday mornings and the occasional Friday morning.

I can go through a whole days worth of class and still hang out or stay up late and play vidya and I tear it up at parties every Friday and Saturday.

Really, when you're in college energy level is a lot of just mental. Just eating the basics and you'll be fine nutritionally. You'll be tired from class and stress. You just have to give yourself something to look forward to.

m8, why are you already resigned to culinary failure?
Stop being such a manlet/womanlet. No one fucks people who can't cook, least of all people who honk of eggs.

Get a simple cook book, Perfect by Felicity Cloake is broad, simple and very informative.
