No. I got a gift voucher for a website, and by the time I chose what I wanted, I had about £5 left over. They sell 30ml samples so I decided to try something a bit different and go Japanese.

Whiskey is by and far the most popular hard liquor here. I don't drink it enough to notice a difference, but I would assume given its popularity that some of the companies are good at making it. Or were you saying the only thing Japan is good at are things you've stereotyped them as being good at?

AS someone who's been there and done that I'll say it's ok for like a night or a week but once it turns to an every-night thing it's time to stop unless you're ok with alcoholism and all it's attendant effects. physical unfitness, intolerable presence for your friends/family, declining mental capability, etc

Been enjoying Jim Beam Black. I was really suprised at how good it was. It's like Knob Creek's little brother (Knob Creek is pretty much my go-to bourbon). It makes sense cause it comes from the same distillery and it's only one year younger than Knob Creek.

Japanese whisky is some of the best I have ever had. You should try it before you dismiss it. The Japanese take whisky pretty seriously.

It's gotten rather popular where I live. Anytime I bring Yamazaki to the counter, the clerk always raves about it.
