Stop by Memphis once on a road trip, had some ribs and brisket at this BBQ spot near a gas station, 2nd best BBQ I've ever had. The best I've had was some near Jackson, MS.

For italian there's Papa Pia's. For BBQ there's almost too many to name.

If you're going to be near Cooper Young then Noodle Doodle Do was decent.

So I made it through Memphis today. I went to Top's BBQ which worked out well because it's right next to I-40.

It was really good also. Apparently they've been in Memphis since 1952. If any of you are passing by, I highly recommend stopping at one of their locations.

I had half a slab of ribs, cole slaw and french fries. There was a dry rub on the ribs but I did get a side cup of their spicy bbq sauce. The ribs didn't need the sauce though, I dipped my fries in it more than using it on the ribs.

Before I went, I searched for "best memphis bbq" and read reviews. A lot of people said Rendezvous was overrated. I've never been, so I have no idea.

I'm in Albuquerque now, so that's it for my Memphis BBQ for now.
