so /ck/ which one is better?
Pressed Coffee or Coffee from a normal Coffee maker?

>> No.4480798

I haven't drank anything but pressed. I even have my own press at work so i don't have to drink the foldgers.

>> No.4480804

>>4480798
why don't you try the other kind?

>> No.4480808

What's a "normal coffeemaker?" Not everyone here is from the same country, so what's normal to one will be foreign to another.

Given the choice between the two, then, I'd go with the "normal" one. Less finicky.

Either this or Espresso. Anything else ends up too cold. Drip coffee makers are particularly terrible at this.

I drink Turkish when I can't be bothered to fire up the Espresso machine. I like both styles about the same.

>> No.4480966

I drink pressed everyday, but I think machine/drip is better - im just too lazy, also I dont have a machine.

>> No.4480980

I've heard that drip and perculated coffee is inferior to other kinds because the water is boiling when it comes in contact with the bean. This extracts flavors deemed unpleasant.

I, for one, don't care. French press has gritty grounds at the bottom which are both neat and gross at the same time.

Best coffee is espresso.

this, espresso is awesome

for second best either is good. As long as it's a fresh grind.

I use a french press now, its cheap, but aslong as the beans are decent its fine.

Used a stovetop boiler previously, it was ok but i thought could be quite bitter in flavor.

Espresso > French press > stovetop > moconna

French press shits on coffee machines. and is cheaper

I like Turkish and Press Pot. Really don't bother with anything else. I prefer the flavor/texture... but to be completely honest I really prefer them for their convenience.

It takes me all of around 5 minutes to make coffee out of a press pot, and 4 of those minutes are letting the coffee brew. Really can't beat that.

true but unless you want a super high-coffeine (and therefore you have to set a very low flame) it takes maybe a couple of minutes to make coffee...

when you hear the water boiling you wait a while and turn the flame off
