It is actually far worse now. When I went to McDonald's 20-25 years ago, it tasted much like normal food. Now, it tastes less like normal food. Their "shakes" don't taste anything like a real milk shake. The buns are like eating stale pillows. The fries are merely a salt-delivery system. they once had some good flavor to them. Not Yukon Gold potato tier flavor, but a lot more flavor than now.

The chicken nuggets are much the same. I don't know about the wraps or salads because they didn't have them back in the day in my area.

All-in-all, eating at McDonald's is a pretty shitty food experience. Sure, you can live on it, but I wouldn't consider it tasty food and it certainly has change a massive amount since I ate there regularly.

All McDonald's have always used the cheapest oils they could find and buy. From one week to the next they may use 5 different types of oils. It has always been like this for the past few decades. Most restaurants are like that.

McDonalds has always been about providing decent fare as quickly and cheaply as possible.

Obviously the quality isn't great, but where else are you going to feed 3-4 people for $10 without ever getting out of your car? Their shit tastes good and even if it's not healthy it's not toxic either.

Any good cook will be able to easily surpass the quality and cost of most mid-tier restaurants like Chili's or Applebee's. The service is what you're paying for.

Fast food restaurants obviously don't provide gourmet food but that's not the point. If you want high-quality food, go somewhere else.

Ha. When was the last time you went to McDonalds? Unless you're sticking solely to the value menu a single small meal costs like $6.50+. After the whole "Supersize Me" bullshit they stopped offering things like supersized fries (which was great if you wanted to share), buckets of fries, or family bags of burgers.

They remodeled all their locations with browns and burnt umbers and tried to make them look "upscale" while introducing "premium" burgers and chicken to compete with Carls. Jr and KFC, they built their McCafe coffee stations to compete with Starbucks (even though none of their employees can make drinks for shit) and wraps to try and compete with Subway.

They've become disocciated from what they were and now they've got an identity crisis. They're trying to be everything and they don't excel at anything so in the U.S. they're struggling to retain dominance. They're considering making breakfast all day now to compete with Jack in the Box because breakfast hours are the only thing they're still well-known for.

Outside of breakfast hours my local McDonalds is mostly empty except for elderly asian get-togethers, and they never buy anything except basic coffee.

It may seem like a pittance to selfish cunts like you but it takes twice the amount of energy to maintain what I have than it would take the average person. Not everyone can be rich and famous and have hundreds of "lovers" (or cock-pockets as I'm sure you call them).

Some of us were dealt a shit hand but we are still trying to be in the game and keep it going.
