Maybe either of you could tell me this then. There's this one Mexican market that I remember from around 2003-2004 area, might not still be open but it's in the middle of Imperial Beach straight off of the road that connects up to Coronado. It has the best carne asada I've ever had. Either of you happen to have been over there and/or know the name?

I love meat, but I make black bean and rice burritos all the time to save money. I say ditch the soy sausage. You probably wouldn't even find that at a restaurant serving vegan-only burritos.

And you've got to make some fresh guacamole. If nothing else, then buy some sour cream. Either one of those makes the burrito, in my opinion.

Just look at that streak of guacamole in there.

Hnnnngggghhhhh.

>> No.4377448

>>4377440
Yeah, soy sausage is my lazy meat replacement. I dunno, just black beans and rice sounds a little bland. Probably with some powder garlic, salt, cumin, curry and red pepper flakes it can turn out nice.

And cheese, you gotta have the cheese.

Fuck you, I'm super hungry and i miss burritos.

>> No.4377476

>>4377424
Sounds like it could be good, depending on what kind of soy sausage it is I guess.

I'm vegan, and I just like traditional burritos usually. Grilled onions and peppers, black beans, rice, maybe some nicely spiced tofu, guacamole, lettuce, maybe some corn salsa or pico de gallo. Mmmm, I'm making myself salivate now. All nicely grilled, perfect.

Fuck cheese.

Black beans cooked with minced onion and garlic, whole cumin seed, bay leaf, mexican oregano, chili powder and salt. Plain rice. Mashed avocado with ground cumin and cayenne, lime and salt. I could be mistaken, but I thought they had wraps. Do they still do pizza?

It just makes sense. Or maybe it doesn't. What the fuck do I know?

If I was going to open a sandwich shop, I'd skip sandwiches and go straight to burritos. Chipotle must be making a killing.

3/4 of the burrito is rice and beans, and then they give you just enough meat to taste in each bite (yes, I know you can ask for more). Then it's flavored with cheap toppings: salsa, corn, onions and bell peppers, sour cream, cheese, lettuce...

Even with the "quality" ingredients, it's the biggest scam second to soda ($1.50 at most chains for 8 oz. of flavored, sugared, carbonated water and enough ice to make you think you're actually getting a 12 oz. drink)
