Why do people refrigerate it? It doesn't go bad and room temperature just makes sense.

Not making your own ketchup and being disgusted when you go to a barbeque and having to tolerate cold condiments.

at each meal in my house, everyone has to make their own condiments.

Sometimes I like it cold. It just depends. If I'm using it as a topping, then nah, I'd rather have it room temperature.

If I'm using it for dipping though, I like it cold. A piping hot crispy fry dipped into cold ketchup and eaten immediately before they have a chance to affect each other's temperatures makes for a lovely contrast.

Unless you grow your own tomatoes and mustard and have your own vineyard to make balsamic, you'll never be on my level.

Plebs refrigerate all food. If a thing is edible and not in the refrigerator, it goes bad. This as true to them as 'the sky is blue', and it is impossible to convince them otherwise. Even leaving it out and having them taste it won't do it; it's as ingrained as a religion.

>> No.4277242

It takes me years to finish the smallest bottle option I find in stores around here. I know ketchup does ok at room temp, but I don't like the thought of it being open and out that long.

>> No.4277244

It doesn't literally rot but the flavors do change. Put it in the damn fridge.

the only time you should be eating warm ketchup is if it's a fresh bottle that will then be refrigerated or if it's one of those delicious warm mcds packets
