That's right around a portion. Add a fruit for dessert, and you're golden. It seems that restaurants have ruined people's perceptions of what a meal is.

Haven't made it yet, but I'm making a salad with mixed greens, cherry tomatoes, avocado, red onion, beans, monterrey jack cheese, grilled flank steak and salsa. I'll take a pic later when it's ready.

Last night I had a bit of steak with chilli mango sauce and a "salad' composed entirely of iceberg lettuce, olive oil and a sprinking of salt and pepper. It was pretty good.

I am not anorexic that's for sure lol! Like I said I got the scallops for free, I wanted to do something nice with them.

The rice alone is probably around 300. plus butter and oil for the kale, plus the roast corn salsa

I sauteed a chicken breast in olive oil, sriracha sauce, and salt and pepper. I then boiled the water for the ramen. When I put the noodles in, I also added some frozen mixed veggies (carrots, corn, green beans, and lima beans) After the ramen was cooked, I added the flavor packet, the chicken, and the leftover olive oil/sriracha from the chicken. It was bangin'

Thanks mate, appreciate it!

When you went to culinary school, and worked in the industry for a while, you pick up a few things. aha Just try to keep things centred and try to build height in something. If you are trying to impress someone, make it smaller portions so it doesn't overwhelm the plate, and dont let your food go over the inner lip of the plate. I am sure my fellow restaurant cooks can add in a couple tips for you. Also the corn salsa was supposed to be right on top over the scallops, but unsteady hands kept it from staying

But let it be known, I never EVER eat like this at home. If I work, I get to eat one of our lovely staff pastas (tomato sauce and noodles) or I get off work and go to BK or Subway. Cook's generally eat like shit.

Went to Applebee's. Had a 2 for $20 with someone. I drank sweet tea. The appetizer was the spicy queso blanco. My entrée was the 7 oz sirloin, with a broccoli and a baked potato with butter and sour cream. For dessert, I had the brownie bites thing.
