I always laugh at this. Dishes made from poor quality often spoiled ingredients, greasy as hell, questionable sanitation. Hard way to learn the lesson. I only eat at mid-range to upscale restaurants and with clients and suppliers families when down there (AKA Mexican tourist and guest food).

Uh, retard. Mexican food is god tier, easily. Proper mexican food does not mean to get a taco from the "puesto" in the corner. There are a lot of high quality traditional restaurants in many many places in central Mexico.
Seriously, mexican food has so much variety; americunts just know "tacos" (which are poor imitations).

Try "enmoladas", or "tesgüino", "tepache", or even "tortas ahogadas". Many sweet, sour, salty and spicey fusion and traditional food.

I guess you are all underestimating Italian food because you get that shitty Italian American food which just looks like blobs of greasy red that all taste the same. I've been to a lot of countries, the only place that comes to close to Italy in terms of food culture is Thailand. Indian food in India sucks. "Middle Eastern" is too broad to mean anything. You weren't eating in the right places in India. I had a meal in India for 3 people with dessert in a local restaurant that is one of the best meals I've ever had. Also, it cost the equivalent of £3, so maybe $5 altogether.
The fresh prawns over there are unbelievable as well, so meaty compared to the crap you get elsewhere.
