Someone gave a Market Pantry Summer Sausage over the hollidays.
I have never had one of these.
Was thinking about cutting it up and putting it into a pasta.
What do you guys do with them?

I've been eating and using products from there for the past 6 months and they seem pretty good when compared with name brand stuff

I would just eat it with slices of cheese on crackers or maybe slice it thin and use it on some kind of combo grinder

I makes nice sandwiches, actually. I like to quickly pan fry pieces and add to a grilled cheese, or sandwich with lettuce, tomato, onion, peppers and Italian dressing.

Oh god yes. Pan frying juuust enough and then putting them on a sandwich, or adding it to a pasta salad... or pretty much anything, really. Sometimes I'll make kimchi jjigae (stew) with it too.

OP, cut into small chunks and make a pizza. When we only had 2 bucks and everything else to make pizza but no topping, we used slim jims, im sure this would work fine. i love summer sausages in my mouth

hey, since you're open to using slim jims, get a mcdonalds straw (because they're wider than most straws), use it to carefully drill out a hole through the center axis of a hotdog, insert the slim jim into the hotdog and trim it off flush with the end of the dog. Cook, and enjoy!
