Having a Wiki seems unsuitable compared to having a shared folder in a home network. I don't see why you need a Wiki if you're going to access it at home and if you're the only one who's going to use that. For something better than just text files, if you want something with a nice interface, you could design a website more sutiable and attractive that doesn't need to go online. As others won't be editting the recipes, you don't need a Wiki. If you want to edit it yourself, it only involves going into the .htmls to edit.
