Hey /ck/, what are some good fillings for a burrito? I'm ordering online and the options are....
>hot sauteed mushroooms
>mixed cheese
>lettuce
>tomato
>guacamole
>red cabbage
>roasted corn
>sour cream
>cilantro
>fresh jalapenos
>pickled jalapenos
>banana peppers
>red onions
>hot sauteed spinach
>chili con queso
>bacon
>tortilla croutons
The meat I'm getting is ropa viaja or cuban slow cooked beef and getting the hot habanero hot sauce.

OP again, also getting it w refried beans and spanish rice. All of the fillings sound good but is there any awesome combination I can use where everything just compliments each other?

>> No.3933413

just get all of it

I thought about getting everything, these burritos are fucking huge without all the extra fillings though. I think it would just be unmanageable, although still fucking badass.

I ended up getting sauteed mushrooms, mixed cheese, cilantro, fresh jalapenos, red onions, chili con queso and the tortilla strips. Got it with the habanero salsa.

mushrooms cheese lettuce tomato guac sour cream cilantro
theres no reason to assault your senses with jalapeno on top of habanero hot sauce.

I like my food really spicy. Also I like to get lettuce and tomato in a burrito but I'm saving it for later when I pick it up, lettuce doesn't lend well to reheating.

are you going to at least post a picture of your glorious burrito?

>> No.3933454

>>3933445
I may, although burritos aren't the most photogenic food out there. Its just going to look like a big burrito wrapped in a chili pepper flavored tortilla. I could cut it open but it'd still look like a mess.

>>3933454
does it come in a tin thing with the beans and rice next to it?

I just like to see what other takeout places look like

>> No.3933482

>>3933470
No, it comes wrapped up in foil, the beans and rice are already inside of it. I also got some chips, salsa and queso with it, I plan to munch on those first and save the burrito for late tonight or tomorrow.

The place is alot like Chipotle I guess but it tastes alot better and its a local chain, about five locations.

>> No.3933496

OP, you big faggot why didn't you order it with everything? If you got a burrito with everything on that list it would probably be the best thing ever.

or you could walk your fat lazy ass to the grocery store, buy your own ingredients, and MAKE THE FUCKING BURRITO YOURSELF

jesus christ, people are spoiled nowadays

>> No.3933560

Just got back with it.

>>3933502
Because I love jalapenos and I love the habanero salsa. It won't be too spicy, I'm used to eating a shitload of peppers and hotsauce.
>>3933539
Not sure, I may or may not take one. That would require effort. Just imagine a burrito about the size of a half gallon of milk wrapped in a slightly reddish orange tortilla (cayenne pepper tortilla, fuck yea).
>>3933544
>>3933544
I've never had bacon in a burrito or any mexican food. I'm open to trying it someday but it doesn't seem like it would fit in with burrito fillings.

>confusing spoiled with not being poor
Also, there is no way I could buy all of the ingredients in this burrito for $6.50, which is what I payed. You can't just buy one tortilla. You can't just buy a few tablespoons of chili con queso. Plus it would take fucking forever to cook rice, cook and mash refried beans, saute mushrooms, slow cook some beef, make homemade habanero salsa etc etc etc. Its only worth it if I'm cooking enough to make lots of burritos, but the the roomieless bachelor doesn't want to only eat burritos for a week.

wow. 4chan lets anybody into /ck/ i guess. i thought this was a COOKING board, not a sit on my ass while some smelly mexican delivers my substandard slop

buy in bulk and avoid unnecissary topppings if you're really strapped.

Burritoes are cheap as fuck to make.

The burrito is good, not substandard. And fuck off with the elitism, the board is about FOOD and cooking. Not cooking. /ck/ is slow enough already, if only cooking threads were allowed then it would be completely lifeless.

I'm not strapped, and I wanted all of those "unnecesary" toppings. Thats why I bought it. Thats why people go there to buy burritos instead of folding shitty tortillas around rice and beans at home.

I didn't know they really had mexican food in michagan. I remember when I went to Pennsylvania I was dying for some mexican food and couldn't find a place anywhere. When I ended up finding one it was god awful shit.

well there are tons of mexican places, just like thai and chinese, but it's probably mostly terrible. There aren't many brown people near me.

Ah ok. Yea I was very dissapointed in the mexican food up north. I'll admit though yals sandwiches and pizza seemed to be better overall than down here. (houstonfag). I think I'd lose my shit if I couldn't get decent mexican food on damn near every corner though.
