I've moved into my own apartment for some months now (studying). My only problem is the food. I'm not really sure what I should buy, so I always get some basic things like bread, cheese, sausage and fruit. Problem is that I usually take 2-3 days and it's all gone. If I'm too busy or lazy to buy again I end up eating junkfood. What should I buy additionally to survive a little longer and cook me a meal sometimes? Consider that I'm a poor student.

Also totally stolen from here: http://ck.booru.org/index.php?page=post&s=view&id=150
Which is a great resource for stealing ideas. Cooking Comically and fffffffuuuuuuuuuuuud subreddit are good for stealing ideas on what to make.

Also, get chicken breasts and portion them into 1 or 2.

there are some things you should always have in the house:

pasta, potatoes, rice, oats for porridge, wheat/maize gruel, flour.

tomatoes, onions, milk, eggs, broth/stock, oil.

salt, pepper, and four or five different other spices like cumin, thyme, cinnamon, curry and maybe garlic salt.

There is a shitton of stuff you can do do with these very cheap and durable ingredients.
