I recently tried some arabic coffee and I loved how it tasted. I have had turkish coffee before, but just the coffee and cardamom was all I needed. It was one of the most enjoyable cups I had had in a long time. It left me thinking I might have to get one of the basic Turkish coffee making apparatuses they use, but then I remembered that this stuff is unfiltered.

What is the verdict on unfiltered coffee these days? Years ago I ended up grabbing a Hario V60 because it sounded like at the time people were pretty convinced you should stick to paper filtered coffee if you drank coffee daily. Is it still like that? I would be drinking Arabic coffee daily so I'm worried about if having the unfiltered coffee might be introducing some negative stuff into my diet.

God I feel like an idiot not buying stainless from the start. I can actually clean it and the silicone gasket actually prevents leaks without having to death grip tighten the thing. Somehow it seems to conduct heat better too since it actually brews faster as well (not that much faster, but still).

Also I can run citric acid water through it multiple times to actually clean it and it is fragrance free and don't need to worry about a bunch of aluminium particulates or pitting my aluminium with deeper rust.

In terms of other methods? It's literally the least hassle one and is the best in terms of consistency, as far as I can tell. Unlike other methods and machines, you can fully service these shits too without much hassle. The output is "espresso like" and you can dilute it with water and it basically tastes like any kind of generic Americano or regular percolated coffee (drip brew, pour over, whatever).

If you want a list of what I tried before:
Aeropress: sucks ass, very inconsistent, painful to vacuum seal, messy if it decides to channel around the outside.
Pour over: pure, unadulterated autism and probably the least enjoyable way to make coffee. Inconsistent as fuck as far as I'm concerned unless you're autism maxx or a professional barista cuck.
Any drip machine machine: it's ok...
Immersion brewing (e.g. French Press, basket brewing, etc): hit or miss. Oily as fuck, works well with some coffee, not so well for others. Probably the easiest way to make coffee and you can do it with low hassle.

Don't fill the basket/funnel to the brim. Leave a millimeter or two of empty space. This gave me the biggest improvement in taste. No more acrid taste that many associate with moka brews.
The fresher the roast, the more empty space you should leave. Aerate/distribute the coffee with a toothpick or sewing pin. Absolutely do not tamp or pack it down in any way.

Just fyi, Kingrinder has recently released a new cheaper model line, the P series. In which the P2 is the C40 equivalent. But I strongly recommend against it. The burr itself is fine, but everything else sucks. Biggest downsides are the high amount of static due to the plastic construction, and weak plastic itself. I lightly tapped mine on a towel covered countertop to dislodge some stubborn fines and the burr assembly became unbound from the plastic. Luckily, I was able to fix it, and this didn't affect performance. This on top of many minor inconveniences mean I cannot recommend it in good faith. I got the P2 as a beater grinder so I can keep my K6 in better condition, but in retrospect I should have looked into another C40 clone like the iCafilas.

I have a P2 I bought as a beater grinder so I can keep my K6 in nicer condition. In my opinion these plastic kingrinders are not worth it due to high amount of static and sub-par build quality. Plenty of metal body C40 clones on the market for only slightly more money than the kingrinder P series. Sure, the burrs might not be as good as kingrinder, but they should be close enough. Get a K series if you can afford it Don't waste your time and money with the P series.

Can we talk about milk frothers? I bought a 35,- mug-like frother, but it seems it is already breaking down by no longer being able to reach the right temperature. The milk comes out as bubbly and not foamy.
So I am looking for a replacement for it and I saw manual frothers much like a french press as well as the Sage Milk Café.
What are people's thoughts on these things? I don't want to invest in something that will potentially break in 6 months or a year, and I think the manual ones are too much work (?): as in you have to heat up the milk to the correct temperature and you can potentially make a mess.
