Most people do not consider desserts fast food either but I'll let it slide. For some reason they all disappeared from my city 5-10 years ago they weren't very popular but I enjoyed them.

You probably got the wrong thing, their fries are overrated garbage, whoever invented the idea of shoestring should be shot. You can't eat just one at a time you'll be eating them for 10 years so you have to grab a big glob of them at once and it's awkward.
Next time get a nice double with extra grilled onions and a side of onion rings and a concrete shake.

Freddys is good if you enjoy waiting an hour for fast food. I only went there twice on my lunch break and had to wait like 45 minutes for my fucking food. Literally my entire lunch break.
Culvers is miles better and they have are always speedy as fuck.

It's not going to blow you away it's just a good down to earth smash burger. They don't do anything fancy just simple burgers but they get the patties insanely thin very lacy and crispy if you like that. Great onion rings and they serve custard instead of normal ice cream.

I like them a lot because of exactly what the other anons said, they don't do anything crazy. I like their pickles too. Their fries for being shoestrings are good imo but I am not a huge fan of shoestrings in general.

If they have it, their jalapeno fry sauce is pretty nice and the concretes are good.

I liken them to, say, Steak N Shake but you don't have a server so no tipping, it's about 50% faster to get your food and still manages to be about 50% better. In a world where Steak N Shake and Freddy's both exist, I don't see a much of a point for the former.
