I generally don't like Ashkenazi food but both whitefish and sable are goddamn delicious, tho I've never had them together. Used to be a deli I liked with the fucking best chopped chicken livers loaded with schmaltz and caramelised onions that was just tits and they gave you a few pieces of gribenes on top. Spread that shit on a bagel or cracker and, my brother in Christ, you'll mouthgasm. Place closed years ago and I fucking miss it. Really nice beer selection when they were still around.
