Nothing like fridge day.
Got myself down to only the essentials.
How's your fridge looking?

I bought a gas mask to clean out my fridge because there's stuff in there I can't even look at without gagging (e.g. year old thai basil squid). It's so full of expired shit I can barely fit anything new. Maybe tonight after work I'll finally start working on it.

Deep cleaned it a few weeks ago. Put my drawers and shelves in the dishwasher and bleached/soap scrubbed the interior. It's easier to be careful and avoid creating messes in the fridge in the first place than cleaning it later, but cleaning it isn't hard. My parents were food hoarders for a long time when I was growing up and we would keep food for weeks longer than it was good. Mom kept over-buying food because she grew up without. Dad didn't cook so he just raided it for what he wanted or for half and half for his coffee. Unlearning their habits has taken a good long while. You can really learn a lot about a person from their fridge.

Pay attention, there are two different types, and labels indicating different vintages. More importantly, it's all authentic Aunt Jemima syrup before the "Pearl Milling Co" fiasco, so he'll probably keep those bottles for decades to remember what the real thing tasted like. I've heard about some pseuds buying old bottles on Ebay and refilling them with Pearl Milling's vile ooze, but real Jemimaheads will always know.

Step 1: get a roll of GREAT quality and hearty garbage bags.
Step 2: get dishwashing or surgical gloves
Step 3: get a fresh pack of Scotch Brite/scrubdaddies
Step 4: catharsis

Pic is a representation of how much of a gain in sanity you will experience after thr cleaning.

All in all, you probably won't spend more than an hour cleaning out your fridge.

Couple weeks ago. I have a lot of opened sauces and jars that I have no idea what to do with and can't bring myself to throw it out. So I'm just waiting until I can cook or trash some stuff in the fridge so it can be tidier

Sometimes you have a bottle in the pantry, then you have one that fell over in the back of the fridge, then you have one in one camping supplies, and you realize all this after you just bought a new one.

My main fridge died so I bought a little mini fridge that's eternally over full but I guess it means I can't hoard leftovers that noone is going to eat like I used to. I've got some steak in there right now I think I'm going to try and make some beef jerky with a dehydrator that I hardly ever use.

It's worth pointing out that all those little black dots are dead fruit flies. I don't even know how fruit flies can survive long enough to reproduce in a fridge/freezer. Kind of makes me think the temperature is so low everything must be spoiled.

You might want to get a mini fridge because that one is rough shape. It would also be easier to keep track of the food in there.

I will tonight. I've got very little food in my fridge:
>milk, cream, OJ, water container, a couple cans of beer
>eggs, ground beef, sausage
>cheese (parmesan, pecorino romano, shredded cheddar, etc.)
>cream cheese blocks (was planning on making basque cheesecake)
>hot sauce, gochujang, mustard, and a barbecue sauce bottle

Like anything else, it's a combination of circumstances. Most notably alcoholism and autism. There's other things too, but they'd probably seem like minor issues if you don't understand the first two points.
